The weekly laundry

There are a few things I’ve been reading that struck me particularly. I always mean to post links here, and then forget. So, a little bit like doing the weekly laundry – these are the things I’ve read recently that have stayed with me.

Our demand is simple: stop killing us‘, The New York Times Magazine. If you only read one thing, this should be it. It’s a powerful essay about an incredibly important topic; and about people who are fighting against wrong, doing it the hard way from the ground up.

In a slightly lighter vein, a piece over at Slate on a Masonic scare in the 19th century is a fascinating read, and really interesting historical context for how Masons are seen today, and fears of an external other in our current political life.

And a short but interesting piece on different speech patterns between introverts and extroverts.
