Reading and watching

Testing theories of American Politics was on my reading list for this year, so it was nice to get into it early. It’s an interesting article. Their data isn’t definitive, in that there are always more decisions out there you can examine. But on first reading, I found it reasonably persuasive.

Unsurprisingly, it’s been cited a reasonable number of times (58, when I checked). But I couldn’t spot any major critiques; I’d be interested to read some, if they’ve been written, on the methodology. But thought provoking, and well worth reading (at the very least the last section, American Democracy?).
