Things to do in Canberra

Canberra can seem pretty quiet when you first move up, but there’s a lot of stuff to do when you look around. There’s a very short list below of the many things that are one.

Definitely not comprehensive – if there are other things out there you’re interested in, have a look – it probably exists in some form.

Tango Social Club of Canberra runs milonas and links to classes, and El Boliche is a regular tango practica.

Street Chess is a tournament every Saturday from 11 am – 2:30/3pm, at King O’Malleys.

Bad! Slam! No Biscuit! is a poetry night monthly at the Phoenix.

The Word Co-op has readings and events.
